It mainly focuses on the research in wearable bio-signal sensors and antennas, bio-signal processing, speech analysis, pervasive mental health, psycho-physiological computing, bioinformatics and multimodal data fusion and modeling. The lab encourages multidisciplinary cooperation among its researchers with background of computer science, medicine, mathematics and signal processing. Now the research team of UAIS includes a professor, three associate professors, four lecturers and PhD and Master students. UAIS has undertaken research projects sponsored by the Ministry of Science and Technology, National Science Foundation China, European Framework Programme and “985” and “211” projects of Lanzhou University.
