   The International Conference on Active Media Technology and Brain Informatics
was held in Lanzhou University on Sep,7th,2011. Many scholars from 18 countries
attended the conference, including Renyi Xiao from the National Natural Science
Foundation of China and Xiaodong He, the vice president of Lanzhou University.
Lin Chen from Chinese Academy of Sciences and Zhongtuo Wang from Chinese Academy
of Engineering attended the conference.
   
   Xiaodong He introduced the basic situation of Lanzhou University briefly in his
talk. And he suggested we should promote the communication and cooperation with
other institutes, so as to advance the development of the subjects related.

   Renyi Xiao expressed his congratulations to the conference and hoped that the
conference would play an active role in promoting the personal training and
international cooperation for the western areas.

   Professor Lin Chen ,the academician of Chinese Academy of Sciences ,and Professor
Zhong Tuo Wang,the Chinese Academy of Engineering gave the lecture named “The
Global-first Topological Definition of Perceptual Objects, and Its Neural Correlation
in Anterior Temporal Lobe”and “Study of System Intuition from Notice (cognitive)
Science Founded by Xuesen Qian”.

   AMT-BI was first founded in Hong Kong China, 2001. It has been successfully held
for 6th terms in many other countries such as Chongqing China, Kagawa Japan, Toronto
Canada and so on. AMT-BI receives 113 papers in all. The conference was divide into
14 group discussions and 8 keynotes. The meeting was a complete success.
